Introduction 

Confidentiality, security and care are important concepts in our company and the web shop www.mataly.nl. Corporate social responsibility and good employment practices also mean that we handle personal data and privacy in accordance with the rules. 

You can read how we deal with this in this document. If you are of the opinion that these rules are not properly stated or are not being observed, we urge you to contact Mataly. 

Confidentiality 

We are Mataly. We work in accordance with privacy laws and regulations. We process your data confidentially, securely and carefully and we respect your rights. 

In order to achieve the purpose for which the personal data are processed, invasion of privacy is limited as much as possible. The infringement shall not be disproportionate. The information is not kept longer than necessary. 

We process personal data of, among others, our staff, our business relations and customers. In special cases, we will ask for your (free, specific, informed and unambiguous) consent for processing. Your consent will be recorded and stored. In principle, you can withdraw your consent. 

Relations and customers 

We keep the personal data of our relations and customers in connection with the subjects below for as long as necessary, i.e. for the shortest possible period. In some cases, statutory retention periods apply. For others we use internal guidelines. 

Social Media 

If you participate in social media such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc., you should be familiar with the tools these sites provide for setting your preferences for sharing personal data via your social media profile(s). When we process personal data in this context, we are also bound by this privacy policy. 

Staff 

We keep the personal data of our employees in connection with the subjects below for as long as necessary, i.e. for the shortest possible period.  

Special personal data 

We do not process special personal data such as information about health and membership of a trade union, unless with your permission or strictly within the limits of the law.

Safety 

We make every effort to guarantee your privacy. Our employees have a duty of confidentiality and only need access to information for the performance of their duties. Our computer network and building is secured for this purpose. 

In the event that, despite our security measures, personal data has or may have come into the hands of third parties without access rights, we will inform you immediately, as well as the Personal Data Authority. 

For what purpose and on what basis do we process personal data? 

Mataly processes your personal data for the following purposes: 

• Handling your payment 

• Sending our newsletter and/or advertising brochure 

• To be able to call or e-mail you if this is necessary to be able to carry out our services 

• To inform you about changes to our services and products 

• To offer you the opportunity to create an account 

• To deliver goods and services to you 

• Mataly analyzes your behavior on the website in order to improve the website and to tailor the range of products and services to your preferences. 

• Mataly also processes personal data if we are legally obliged to do so, such as data that we need for our tax return. 

Automated decision making 

Mataly does not make decisions based on automated processing on matters that can have (significant) consequences for people. This concerns decisions that are taken by computer programs or systems, without involving a person (for example an employee of Mataly). 

Processing for and by third parties 

We use the services of other companies. That is our responsibility. We concluded and conclude processing agreements with these companies.

Cookies 

Mataly only uses technical cookies, functional cookies and analytical cookies that do not infringe your privacy. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone when you first visit this website. The cookies we use are necessary for the technical functioning of the website and your ease of use. They ensure that the website works properly and, for example, remember your preferred settings. We can also optimize our website with this. You can opt out of cookies by setting your internet browser so that it no longer stores cookies. In addition, you can also delete all information that has previously been stored via the settings of your browser.

If you want information about our processing of your personal data, we will only provide you with this information after positive identification. You are then entitled to:

• -  objection to certain uses. 

You can submit a request for inspection, correction, deletion or objection to Mataly with a copy of your proof of identity. We will then respond within 2 weeks.
